Hi Mark,
I am looking through a bunch of images shot with the M8 and non-ASPH
50mm Summilux last night at a local bar, and the colors are certainly
all over the place. Some are OK, others have the symptoms you
describe. The light was mixed, just about the worst one can imagine,
and quite dim too--a typical exposure was 1/15 or 1/30 sec., f1.4 at
ISO 1250. The lens was filterless, as I am still waiting for my UV/IR
cut filters.
How do I deal with it? Once I have the filters, I will of course use
them. Otherwise, I do the same as with my Oly E3 images under similar
conditions: convert to B&W :-)

Has anyone had IR color problems - magenta cast with artificial

lenses? And what did you do to solve them?
21mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M ASPH
35mm f/2 Summicron ASPH
35mm f/2 Summicron (first version with goggles)
50mm f/1.4 Summilux (non-ASPH)
50mm f/1 Noctilux
90mm f/2.8 Tele-Elmarit (2nd version)
135mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt
25mm f/2.8 Zeiss Biogon-T*
25mm f/4 Voigtlander Color-Skopar
28mm f/2.8 Zeiss Biogon-T*
28mm f/2 Voigtlander Ultron
75mm f/2.5 Summarit
75mm f/2.5 Voigtlander Color-Heliar
The first group is lenses I own. The second group is lenses I'm
considering for an M8.
Thanks for any info.
