Re: IMG: Nathan's PAW 1: back to Alicante

Nathan:
Thanks for the nice window into eastern European winter. Your Wroclaw train station made me flash back to the Musee d'Orsay in Paris, a former train station. The black and white's impact and composition are perfect - the silhouetted man in an otherwise deserted winter landscape gets the season across well.

It looks like you have the same rendition of Christmas lights without an IR-cut filter - the Kulturpalast tree lights were that magenta-tinged white I got photographing Christmas lights in Santa Fe's plaza. Your unfiltered flesh tones turned out OK. Did you do any color correction?

This is the 9th year of PAW for me. As usual, the first week of the year is mostly about me and the family returning from our respective holidays and settling back into our Alicante life. The blog begins in Poland, passes through Germany, and finishes in Spain.
