Re: I got a new camera yesterday...

Nathan, check the upgrade conditions. If you get the upgrade anytime in the
warranty period you get an extra year after the end of the original warranty
period. Makes no difference when in the original period.

Exactly. That is why I have. I am a bottom-fisher.

I will get the upgrade (shutter+framelines) in about 1 year and 10 months,
i.e. just before the warranty runs out, since a side benefit of the upgrade is
that you get another year of warranty cover.

M8 also has auto iso. It was a firmware upgrade

I'm guessing from your mention of auto ISO that you have an M8.2. Correct?

...and these are 9 of my 30-odd my test shots from today. I am
thrilled. Not because these are great art, but because of what I see when I
open the raw file in Lightroom--even the image where auto ISO ended up at 1250.

I am having to unlearn some of the habits acquired during 4 years with
AF and zooms, but I do not think it will take that long. Plus, right now I am
limited by having just one lens, a 35mm Summarit, but that will be fixed soon
:-)
