David,
get in touch with Novoflex,
mainka@xxxxxxxxxxxx (Manfred Mainka)
I'm pretty certain they used to make a tube that allowed either a T2
mount, either that or all sorts of other Novoflex adapters, I believe
they even used to make the tubes for your lens for Leica too.
Cheers
Douglas

David several years ago, back in the late 90's I think it was I had an
old Canon 600 4.5 that had been converted to Nikon mount converted to
T mount. I have used it on Canon EOS, Nikon, and Leica successfully.
I do not know if a Telyt can be done the same. This lens was the
original FD 600 4.5 that had the knob focus on it. When the
conversion was done all the aperture had to be removed, but heck I buy
a long fast lens for the wide aperture anyway so it was not a big deal
to me.
There used to be a member of this list named Donal Philby who helped
me locate a guy in San Deigo I think it was named Helmut Mueller who
did this conversion for me. Helmut is a former Leica guy who now has
his own machine shop and has done work on lenses for Sports
Illustrated and others. A heck of a nice guy. I no longer have his
contact info unfortunately.

I have this harebrained idea about having my 400mm Telyt f6.8
(R-mount) lens converted to a "T" mount. In this way, I could use it
with any camera I might purchase, in future, including my Leicas.
Questions:
[1] Has anybody ever tried this?
[2] Can anybody recommend a repairer who could do this at reasonable
cost?
Thanks.
