Some of the shots were with my back to the sun; the light was harsher/more
contrasty than I wanted for some images like the grebe looking at me. The
grebe profile image has good shadow detail I chose to render a bit dark for
contrast with the bright head plumage.
I plan to return to Shoreline later in the week but before sunrise.

Mark, the shadow area of many of the grebe photos seem lost due to the
harsh lighting. Is there an area at Shoreline Lake where you can work
with your back to the rising sun?
