I showed: http://www3.telus.net/~telyt/loon2.htm
and Ted Grant chided...
First of all don't be negative and making excuses about your pictures one
over the other. You do an excellent shoot certainly of late. So please don't
make excuses your birding stuff is to damn good for that.
OK... I'll try to be less humble, in future... ;-)
Quite frankly this Loon photograph is just as good as the Hummer. Given the
difficulties of shooting conditions.
Thanks.
If one wanted to make a nit picking comment, are you ready? ;-)
The bird and reflection is perfect, yet it's not quite perfect enough given
the stillness of the water. It's too bad you chopped the reflected head off!
That, my friend, is why I said it was not as good as my hummer
shots... but I had only about 4 or 5 seconds to find him, raise the
camera to my eye, focus and fire. And then he was gone. I'd rather
have had the full reflection, but by the time I realized my mistreak,
it was too late. Had he been there 2 to 3 more seconds, I'd likely
have had it. [sigh]
If we were to score the photo it would only get 99.99999% for a successful
shot instead of a 100% with the head fully reflected. See what I mean about
a nit picking comment.;-)
Now to save your butt and achieve a 100% mark get right back out to the lake
and re-shoot it with the reflection. ;-) Oh yes and of course use the same
bird. ;-)
Yes Sir!!!
I'll book a reservation, with him, for tomorrow! ;-)
Thanks, as always, for your comments and for taking the time to look.
