Re: Ernst Leitz honored by ADL

I sometimes wondered why my grandfather, a Jewish man, purchased a Leica in Germany in 1954, even after knowing about the Holocaust. I suspect he knew about the Leitz Freedom Train too.
He died when I was one. I think he'd be pleased that his M3 started me on a lifelong love affair with photography.
