Re: Deadman's Creek

David -
Nice action, well-captured as always.
Great timing on both, especially the roping shot. The horse almost seems too small for the rider, but smaller is probably more nimble.

I wonder how many Stetsons and Resistols get crunched by bulls. ;-)

Rose and I spent Saturday at Deadman's Creek.

According to the Wikipedia, the river's name dates back to 1817, when Pierre Charette of the North West Company <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_West_Company> was killed by his travelling companion in a quarrel over the campsite.

Today it is a small, First Nation's Reserve, with most of the inhabitants living in nearby Savona (pop. 640). But for a small place, they throw a mean rodeo!

Like all things important, success is determined by the way you hold your tongue...

Rodeo cowboys feel there are only 3 ways to leave a bucking bronc, or bull...

Out the front door, the side door, or the back door.

This fellow used the back door... and with considerable style....

C&C welcomed, as always...

Cheers!
