The Grumman F6F Hellcat operated from U.S. carrier decks in the Pacific
during 1943-45. There are only five still flying. This one is maintained
by the Commemorative Air Force (formerly the Confederate Air Force):

North American's AT-6 Texan was the primary trainer for U.S. pilots
before and during WW II. One of the Navy's versions of the plane, the
SNJ-5, was flown by John Colver at the Watsonville, California Fly-In
Airshow this Memorial Day Weekend. Colver calls his plane Wardog:
