You didn't tell us what you used to take the inverted pictures. Please tell us
that it was your 15mm Voigt. on an M7 or 6 and not some one of them zippy
new digi whatever things that I understand are all the rage, now.<<

Hi Roger, I see some folks beat me with the answer. :-)

However, I can not tell a lie and confess I did not use the M7 with 15mm lens and slide film. Although I took it as the back-up camera and expected to use it if I could. It was tucked under my shoulder harness so it wasn't hanging loose to drop down and smack me in the face when we rolled.

However, I used the Canon 20D and 10mm-22mm zoom produced for the 20D to allow basically auto everything.

On the first roll over the G force was amazingly strong and surprised me as it pushed like it was a ton weight on my arms. To the extent I could hardly hold the camera at arms length, even when against the back of the pilots seat.

To have used an M7 without a motor winder would've been folly as it would've been almost impossible to hold the camera out, shoot one frame, bring your arms back to advance the film, meanwhile the plane was in constant motion in the roll. I don't think one could get more than 1 or 2 frames at best.

The 10mm lens is equivalent to a 16mm on full 35 film frame so I knew I had the right lens for the small confined cock-pit. I suppose I could've used an R8 and motor drive but I'm sure the added weight would've made it impossible to hold with the R 15mm lens.

And trust me to drop any camera in the small space around my feet with the dual control connections would've been a disaster in waiting. Then I'd have to bail out again and once was enough 11 years ago! :-)

So there you go eh! ;-)

And the crowning glory? I sent the same two images to my stock photo agency as a lark and they want all the best flight images I can give them for their "seniors" catalogue! WOW! ;-) Now I might be paid for doing all this wild and crazy stuff! ;-)

See, nothing ventured, nothing gained. And it was fun. Don't you just love photography! :-) :-)
