Hi David,

My "new" computer is an old blue-and-white Mac G3 that I got in trade for a
print. The PowerMac 8500 had become unreliable at best and with big PS files
was painfully slow. My cash flow sucks to put it mildly, especially after
paying $2500 for SL2 and 280 APO repairs, so a new computer is out of the
question.

My screen calibration is all by eyeball so it's good to hear it's pretty close.

It's an older Polaroid SprintScan 4000 (SCSI) that I bought used a few years
ago (using Vuescan to drive it). I've been delighted with the quality of the
scans I'm getting from it, and the speed is adequate for my needs on the G3
(350 MHz).

Best,

Doug
