Hi Doug:
Truly a fine shot - I admire your ability to capture animals in such a
natural pose. As an old (almost as old as the other Ted ;-) ) deer
hunter from ND and MN, I can more than appreciate such a fine specimen.
Thanks for sharing.
Ted

Subject: Black-tailed Deer
A couple weeks ago in a nearby county park:
http://www.wildlightphoto.com/mammals/btde03.html
Technical stuff: Leicaflex SL, 400mm f/2.8 FD, Provia 100F, tripod,
kneepads.
The 400mm f/2.8 (formerly Sal DiMarco's) has been nearly ideal for the
forest environment, allowing me to use fine-grained films where previously
I
had been struggling for usable shutter speeds with fast films. I wish it
were about 5 lbs lighter.
All comments and critique welcome.
