The "boots" are protective support... the animal has not yet been injured.
I, too, love how you can see the horse is paying attention ... and
just as well, for Rose tells me that the rider is doing it all
wrong! (How would I know?)
Thanks for looking... I'll post more after we get back from a short
trip to Alberta, to unload the various kids at their assorted homes.
