Look again. It is not about the mountain. Look at the shapes my dear pal, and
write again.<<<
Hi Sonny,
Without my relating to "Pikes Peak" information in your original post which
affected how I looked at the scene, I couldn't see why you shot it as you did
if the peak was the main part of the photo. Obviously it isn't. My error.
There isn't any question everything is in balance, exposure on the mark and
composition is fine. As it creates a good eye line into the scene and the Peak
in the distance.
One item that caught my eye briefly when I first looked, now again as I've gone
back and forth looking for what I missed. But one thing for sure, the photo
evokes peace and tranquility which may have been your reason for shooting it,
the feeling and composition.
However, as I said above, one thing that did catch my eye, maybe my being
paranoid over the Iraq situation. But in the frame to the centre right is a
flag that appears at half mast signifying possibly a lost soldier. I'd hope
that isn't the message I missed? But rather a flag of honour flying by a home?
If none of this fits it's back to you old buddy for what I missed. And when I
find out I'll probably shoot meself in the foot for being blind in both eyes.
