Amazing light

Sometimes you get great light. Then the trick is finding something cool to wallow in it.

I was at Mountain View, California's Shoreline Park yesterday. I usually enjoy the waterbirds sharing their lives with me, and there were some obliging subjects for duckscapes:

But nobody wanted to come close, except for the usual overhead traffic (including gulls going piggyback):
