A ride in West Friesland

On a sunny Sunday morning earlier this month, I took my motorcycle and rode up to the southern end of the Afsluitdijk, the outermost of the many dikes that keep my part of the Netherlands from becoming a lake. On the way I enjoyed the beautiful landscape and towns and villages of the region of West Friesland; a small selection of the resulting images is here:
