When I started, I thought I knew the history of film and photography. Then I started compiling the list!

I discovered that although a lot of this is available on the net, a lot of it is not. And each new book brings a few details that I didn't have before. Then, of course, the problem becomes one of "What do I include?", for a "Brief" history should only include key turning points and the seminal lens & camera designs.

Anyway, I've had a blast compiling it and I hope that those with a historical bent will enjoy it.
