Hi Graham,

I scrolled this down and when I saw the whole picture my reaction was...
"Damn that's one of the neatest simple photos I've seen!" :-) It really is,
because you've done as you quite often do, make an interesting photograph
out of a nothing moment. But does it ever work!

 

I think it's the use of depth of field or depth of sharpness? Or whatever
one wants to call it, but the photog jumps off the page in sharpness if
nothing else.

 

Bottom line? Whatever it is, this photograph works beautifully.
