[laffs] Re: Club Flying for fun at Marshall, Ar.

The weather was absolutely perfect
with wind at about 3 miles per hour.
About 10 or 11 flyers and then John
tried to get one Jet going but couldn't
get the turbine started. Got the other
started and what an awesome sound.
Made 3 or 4 laps around and said he
didn't have any radio so you know the
result. Many,many pieces went into
2 trashbags and nothing was sticking
out of the bags. Tragic !!! Gene

We are having a get together at the
airport in Marshall, Ar. next Sat.
morning at 10:00 am. John Swanson
is bringing 2 of his jets to fly since
the runway is about 5000 feet long
and great for that purpose. Bring
something to fly as this a little used
facility and we have the OK to fly
    with the airport shutdown. Directions
are on a sign after you go through
Marshall half way or more or you
can stop and ask directions. The
large hangar will be open and has
restrooms. You will need to bring a
chair and drinks. There are fast food
places very close so you won't starve.
There is no cost involved except your
    transportation. Should be a GOOD
time so everyone try to make it for
    something different. Gene
PS The airport will be on your left
    as you go thru Marshall.
