[laffs] Clem Miller

As most of you know, Clem, was very
ill with cancer as the foe. He was taken
to the Baptist Hospital in Heber Springs after having a ruptured colon.
This was last Sunday and he passed away last Tuesday morning. He had
requested, during a very short visit
with him, that his collection of R/C
planes and accessories be sold and
the money to go to his and Annie's
expenses as he thought they would
go to an assisted care facility in
Florida. He didn't make it there but
a daughter has moved Annie and the
furniture to Clearwater, Fla. The house
had to be cleaned out as it is going
up for sale. His R/C stuff has been
moved to a garage by Dick Risk and
myself and is being sold now. The remaining items will be brought to
the club meeting on March 25 and
sold there. Two planes remain, his
Astro Hog with a new, never run .65
engine [plane never flown] and his
Aeronca Defender, a 3 channel plane
which he built from plans. These are
both nice planes and won't be given
away [price wise] but will be at the
meeting along with many accessory
items. We are also receiving donations if someone does not want
to purchase anything. The money
will go into the treasury and then a check will be sent to Annie in Fla.
Neighbors are holding a garage sale
of the items not moved by 2 Son in
Laws by a U-Haul truck. The sale is
next weekend so if interested drop
by the home. It is important to raise
as much money as possible towards
their expenses so bring cash and/or
your checkbook and be as generous
as possible. Call me if interested in
planes as the small items are packed
in boxes and won't be displayed until
the meeting. Thanks, Gene H.

PS I am sending a picture of a group
of the deceased members, except for
Herb Mills. From left is, Dick Turpin,
Clem Miller, Herb, Dottie Mills and
Bud Miller. All fine,fine people!!
