Hi Morgan, just an update - I think they were approved to re-file and start the
process over. This was not an approval of the actual project yet. There will
be public hearings and such being scheduled and those will be areas of
potential protests for sure but FERC and the involved agencies will be engaging
on managing attendance. Could be exciting!

The Jordan Cove liquid natural gas pipeline was finally approved last Friday
and is moving forward. This is the pipeline that will traverse about 70 miles
of Klamath County. See attached map. Unsure right now what the construction
timeline looks like.
Sherriff Kaber and I are the county POCs for emergency response-related issues
with the pipeline. We will try to keep all stakeholders informed of pertinent
info, moving forward. One of the biggest concerns is protesters, and Sherriff
Kaber will be coordinating on that.

Hi All,
It was good catching up last week. I appreciate you sharing your concerns
about providing adequate notice for meetings especially those involving your
commissioners and other decision-makers. Something you mentioned that would be
helpful was a possible meeting with the state to discuss the state's role and
authority in the LNG siting process. I'll coordinate with our folks and get
back to you about what this meeting might look like to ensure it's meaningful
for you.
In the meantime, here is more information about the activities of the project.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Jordan Cove LING's
pre-filing application on Friday, February 10. See attached document for more
information.
For background information about federal siting process and the state's role,
please go to the Oregon Department of Energy's website at
