        I've got the same hardware, and I'm not seeing that.  I see 
KisMac taking 20-30%, top taking 10-20% itself, with Window Manager 
usually 5-15% (although sometimes top and Window Manager momentarily 
switch places).

        What kind of card are you using?  What driver?  How many other 
stations are within range?


        Myself, I'm using my Senao SL2511CD PLUS (200mW Prism), switching 
between the IOXperts wireless driver (normal use) and MacJack 
(sniffing), and I've only got my two base stations within view.
