I've got a powerbook and I'm scanning with linksys instant wireless
(wpc11) with the Prism2/Orinoco/Hermes card, passive mode driver and
panther.
Under 0.12a and 0.10a kismac will almost randomly stop scanning for no
aparent reason. I say almost because I think it's due to processor
useage but it's hard to confirm that, sometimes it's more tempermental
then other times. Occationally I can get it to run for hours, other
times no more then a couple of seconds.
The system.log has a *lot* of these
Apr 4 23:29:57 localhost last message repeated 17 times
Apr 4 23:29:57 localhost kernel: MACJack: MACJackCardacket queue overflow
Apr 4 23:29:57 localhost kernel: MACJack: MACJackCard::_handleRx:
packet queue overflow
That repeated X times statement has a lot of different really high numbers.
