[kismac] ioxperts vs. sourceforge driver

I am currently using the sourceforge driver, but I was wondering if the 
ioxperts would allow me to close kismac and join a network?   Also, could I use 
the 
mac address changing feature with the ioxperts driver?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as you might be able to tell I am sort of 
new to this stuff.
