[kismac] cisco cards and passive or monitor mode

I checked the wiki and it said:
The latest Cisco firmwares cannot be supported by open software as incompatible additions have been made. Please flash your Cisco card to a supported one (eg. 4.25.30).

Now I was wondering. I've got a cisco aironet 350 card with firmware version 4.25.23
1. Can I assume because it's a version 4.25.30 or earlier that it should be able to go into passive mode?
2. Can it work with kismac?
