[kismac] Weak Scheduling Attack runs infinitely?

I have seen this problem discussed briefly in oher topics, but I can't find
a defnitive answer...
Why is it that when I run a weak scheduling attack on a WEP network it runs
forever...I've let it go for over 24 hours before just to see if it would
ever stop. I choose "both" from the menu where you choose how many bits are
used in the encryption, and then the attack runs and continues checking keys
without ever generating a success or failure message. I have received a
"crack failed" response one time, but I cannot get it to happen again so I
think it was just a "fluke" or bug or something...
Is it possible that the "both" option is not implemented correctly?
Also, on a similar note, is it possible to tell what encryption method (40
or 104 bit) a WEP network is using...and if so how is this done?
