you buy them at the shop, scan them on your scanner, put the files on
your harddisk, import map file from image, go to the map tab of
Kismac, set a point of known coordinates, set another point of known
coordinates and off you go. You do need a map with North pointing up
and South pointing down, East pointing right and West pointing left
when on the screen. (using maps that have e.g. North-East line up
with the top for more economical map use in 'classical urban areas'
doesn't work).
