Then open Info.plist in both of the open Contents folders with
either BBEdit or the Property List Editor.
But where in intersil prism2.kext or IntersilBase ?
-both-
Then duplicate the IOKitPersonality for the DWL. Give it a name,
and then replace its vendor and product IDs with the ones for your
device as gotten from Apple System Profiler.
What ? i don'nt understand this things, i must see in the apple
profiler what ?
The duplication must be done while you have Info.plist open in either
BBEdit or the Property List Editor. Info.plist is essentially an xml
text file - any text editor that can open such will work.
You make the duplication to preserve the original Personality. You
don't absolutely have to do that - you can just replace the values
for the 122 if you like.
What you have to replace is the vendor ID and the product ID. You get
those numbers from Apple System Profiler. Go to About This Mac and
then select More Info. Then look under the USB devices (yours must be
plugged in) and read off the vendor ID and the product ID. Those
numbers must go into the Info.plist files (plural!).
Write again with the parts you are still not understanding. It's
confusing at first, but then you'll be able to do it in your sleep.
