I have bought this product today :
RO80211BI-USB , it's an usb wireless device based on prism 2.x chipset.
On kismac it works correctly, but can i use it also in mac os X (
such a network device
to connect on the other wi-fi networks, etc. ? ) what driver should
i use ? I try belikin
driver and IOexperts driver and they don't work.
Thx all.
Best bet is the D-Link DWL-122 driver, but you will have to hack it.
First install it. Then open package contents on both intersil drivers
in the Extensions folder. Then open Info.plist in both of the open
Contents folders with either BBEdit or the Property List Editor. Then
duplicate the IOKitPersonality for the DWL. Give it a name, and then
replace its vendor and product IDs with the ones for your device as
gotten from Apple System Profiler. Throw away the kextcache and
reboot.
It's complicated, but it works with the Syntax wireless USB Prism2
device, so it may well work for yours.
