Any means of overriding this, or flashing the firmware? Probably my
own fault, cause I bought the card 'cheap'...

This is what came up (and has come up every 2 seconds in the last
24h, totalling to over 4 MB of system.log file contents) when Kismac
runs. Then I quit Kismac, uninstalled, installed the new version,
started the new version, scanned all channels for a few seconds,
stopped scanning and quit kismac, see here:

Hope this helps; I guess my card version is 8.40 US.
BTW, Mick, it is pretty confusing to have more than one version
called 0.04d; how about 0.04d1, 0.04d2 etc till 0.04e will be
released?
