[Kindersite Newsletter] Re: autism spectrum disorder/ inclusion

We include children with autism in our regular full-day program in Thomas
County, Georgia. We use the High/Scope curriculum, and the children receive
inclusion support in their regular classroom for specified periods of time.

Subject: [Kindersite Newsletter] autism spectrum disorder/ inclusion

I was wondering how many 'out there' have programs designed to include children
with autism within their pre-school/kindergarten programs. I work in a public
school and we have a program for our children with autism which utilizes ABA
techniques within the full day with the student attending the preschool program
and receiving one on one specialized programs the other half of the day. I
would be interested how others address this particular special need.
