I have not had children in my classroom with autism, however, in our school they are included in the regular program and they are each assigned an individual adult aide to assist them in the classroom. I work in a public school and we have a program for our children with autism which utilizes ABA techniques within the full day with the student attending the preschool program and receiving one on one specialized programs the other half of the day. I would be interested how others address this particular special need.
