[Kindersite Newsletter] Re: autism spectrum disorder/ inclusion

Hi. I am a Pre-K Inclusion Teacher this year and I have 3 EC students and 1 of
those has autism. It is just myself and my assistant. We receive support for
all three children on Mondays, but the time spent with each child is minimal
unless I specifically request for the EC Itinerant to work with a student on a
particular issue. We need more support because some days he is having a great
day in terms of his abilities and some days we really need a 3rd person. It is
has been a struggle, but a valuable learning experience for me. I would do it
again and make suggestions for improvement.
