[Kindersite Newsletter] Re: autism spectrum disorder/ inclusion

Our Board has a total inclusion policy. Depending on the degree of autism, a child may or may not be assigned an aide for part or all of the day.

I was wondering how many 'out there' have programs designed to include children with autism within their pre-school/kindergarten programs. I work in a public school and we have a program for our children with autism which utilizes ABA techniques within the full day with the student attending the preschool program and receiving one on one specialized programs the other half of the day. I would be interested how others address this particular special need.
