[Kindersite Newsletter] Kindersite Newsletter Spring 2007

Dear Friends

Lots of news and excitement in this newsletter and a request for help with a new global education initiative.

ACADEMIC RESEARCH USING THE KINDERSITE
Firstly, I am very proud to announce that the first academic research project involving the Kindersite has now been completed and the results published on the Internet. A link to the full details can be found on the Kindersite in the News section on the Home page.

KINDERSITE FLYERS
I have also added some more translations of the Kindersite Flyer, languages available are English, French, Italian, Arabic, Hebrew and Spanish. Lithuanian will be ready later this week. You can also help by translating. The Flyers can be downloaded and printed from the Kindersite, there is no charge. Again a big thank you to our volunteers.

GROWING
The Kindersite is still growing, at the last count 17,100 schools in 150 countries have registered on the Kindersite. About 3,000 schools and parents visit everyday.

EUROPEAN EDUCATION PROJECTS
In my last newsletter I mentioned the European projects that the Kindersite is now involved in. Some of these have now placed their first websites on the Internet and you can visit them to learn more about the resources that are being made available. Again links are available from the Kindersite.

REQUEST FOR SUPPORT - EDUCATION FOUNDATION
I am now asking educators for your kind support for a new initiative. This for a Global Education Foundation that can reach out globally to all. It has been launched by a group of senior educators within Europe. The foundation will be looking to effect real changes in all levels of global education by:

 a. Knowledge transference
 b. Knowledge comparison
 c. Cross-fertilization and pollinization
 d. Innovation and technology

The foundation will achieve these missions by:

 a. Carrying out education projects based on international partnerships
b. Educational knowledge transference and comparison, to and from, developed and developing nations
 c. Cross-fertilization and cross-pollinization across national boundaries

I have placed documents in Pdf format, on the Internet at: http://www.world-education-database.org/Download.htm (if there is a problem downloading, please feel free to contact me to receive the document as an attachment).

I am asking for your support by allowing us to add your name to the list of 'Educators with an Interest' (you will find the first list on Page 3 of the documents)

If you wish to be added to the list, please reply directly to me with your:

 1. Name
 2. Profession
 3. City/Country
 4. Education institution

Thank you for your ongoing support and enjoy the Kindersite.

Best wishes
