[Kindersite Newsletter] Kindersite Newsletter November 2006

Dear subscriber

The Early Education Search Engine

I have now added a Early Education Search Engine to the Kindersite. You will
find it at the bottom, right, of the Home page. You can type in a search
term and be directed to a page of appropriate links, without leaving the
Kindersite.

The search engine will allow you to search ONLY through websites that
contain specialized information on:
1. Teaching and learning in early education
2. Parenting of early children
3. Problems and needs

I hope, with your help, that we will achieve our goal of become a leading
channel to specialized information on every aspect of early education and
raising young children.

It will not lead you to resources, like lesson plans, printables etc. as I
believe there are many other directories and websites that specialize in
this area.

If you do use the search engine and find any inappropriate results, please
let us know with the link details.

YOUR HELP

What I do need is your help in locating more Internet resources that can be
added to the search engine.

To help in building the Early Education Search Engine please send me the
name and web address of:
1. Early learning websites (or part of a website) - organizations,
associations, foundations, educational authorities, schools, colleges and
universities, resources etc
2. Parenting and raising young children (including childhood problems,
disabilities etc)

APPROPRIATE WEBSITES

The website should not be commercial, unless they have a specific, useful
free resource on early years. I do want to add sites outside of the English
speaking world. The websites can be of any sociological, political,
religious opinion or cover a particular issue. Many websites cover many
issues including young children, please send a link to the part of the site
that covers this field. The resources should be available without any
payment.

Please note, every suggestion will be checked as appropriate for the search
engine.

Please send your suggestions (website name and web address) to :
info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with the subject ' Early Education Search Engine'.

PROJECTS IN EDUCATION
In the next few weeks we will be commencing the European Union projects,
mentioned on the Kindersite, and I hope to post additional information on
the Kindersite, about them then.

LINKING
Finally, I wish to thank the many schools, associations, authorities and
Kindersite users who have added links to the Kindersite on their websites,
or added us to their del.icio.us (http://del.icio.us/ ) list.

Thank you and enjoy the Kindersite
