RE: Research project
Hello everyone,
My name is Sue Walker and I am the ICT manager (computers) in a Primary School in England. I am also in my final year of a part time degree Programme. For my dissertation I am researching the effects of ICT on standards and achievement. If anyone could possibly contribute to my research it would be appreciated. I doubt if an attachment would be accepted with this message so have inserted my questionnaire below. If any individual would prefer it as an attachment please contact me.
I would be very grateful for any support you can offer.
Thanking you in anticipation - Sue Walker.
Title:
How effective is the use of ICT in schools in raising standards and achievement? With particular emphasis on cost effectiveness.
1. How effective is the use of ICT in schools in raising standards and achievement?
2. Could the same benefits (if any) be achieved using conventional/traditional methods of learning and teaching?
3. Is it cost effective, e.g. do the costs outweigh the benefits or vise/versa?
4. How much time do your pupils/students spend using a computer?
5. Is it used for cross curricular activities or mainly skill building?
6. How much time do you spend using the computer as a teaching tool and do you use an interactive board eg. Smart?
7. Do you enjoy using ICT?
8. Are you a skilled ICT practitioner?
9. What is the age group of your pupils/students?
