Volkswagen hat im vergangenen September 947.600 Fahrzeuge an Kunden weltweit
ausgeliefert, was einer Steigerung um 7,1 Prozent im Vorjahresvergleich
entspricht. Nach den ersten neun Monaten 2016 kamen mittlerweile 7,6 Millionen
Fahrzeuge zusammen - ein Plus von 2,4 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum.

Toyota stellt 1.000 Mitarbeiter für US-Zentrale
Toyota hat am Donnerstag bekannt gegeben, 1.000 zusätzliche Mitarbeiter für
seine 100 Morgen große Zentrale in Plano im US-Bundesstaat Texas einzustellen.
Eröffnet werden soll sie Mitte kommenden Jahres. Insgesamt sollen dort 4.000

Polen preist 550 Millionen-Dollar-Deal mit Daimler
Polens Regierung hat am Donnerstag einen 500-Millionen-Euro-Deal mit Daimler
unterzeichnet und nennt es ein Zeichen dafür, dass ausländische Investoren
weiterhin interessiert sind. Zuvor war Warschau nach elfmonatigen Verhandlungen
aus einem Geschäft mit Airbus ausgestiegen und hatte es sich so mit der Airbus
Group verscherzt. Daimler wird von 2019 an Vierzylinder-Benzin- und

Geely plant neue Automarke für 20. Oktober
Geely will eine neue Automarke namens Lynk & Co am 20. Oktober auf den Markt
bringen. Der chinesische Autohersteller will seine Attraktivität steigern,
indem er auch das mittlere Marktsegment bedient, wie Insider mitteilten. Lynk &
Co wird sein erstes Fahrzeug basierend auf der "Complex Modular
Architecture"-Plattform herausbringen, die Geely zusammen mit Volvo entwickelt
hat. Den Autohersteller hatte das Unternehmen vor sechs Jahren übernommen.

Dekra hat ein neues Labor für Tests an Automobil-Komponenten sowie
Materialprüfung in Shanghai eröffnet. Schwerpunkte der

Poland touts US$ 550 million Daimler deal
The Polish government inked a 500 million euro deal with Daimler on Thursday,
promoting it as a sign that foreign investors remain interested. Previously,
Warsaw had walked away from a deal with Airbus after 11 months of talks,
stirring a row with Airbus Group. Daimler will manufacture four-cylinder
gasoline and diesel engines starting in 2019, and employ some 500 people.

Geely prepares October 20 launch for new car brand
Geely is set to launch a new car brand, Lynk & Co, on October 20, as the
Chinese automaker seeks to broaden its appeal by tackling the middle market,
sources familiar with the matter said. Lynk & Co will be used to launch the
first vehicle based on the Complex Modular Architecture platform developed by
Geely and Volvo, which the Chinese automaker acquired six years ago.

Dekra opens test center in Shanghai
Dekra has inaugurated a new test center for automotive components and material
control in Shanghai. The 4,000 square meter large facility focuses on wireless
