הזמן הזורם - לא להאמין! כבר עברו שבועיים מאז הבחירות וכראש מועצה חדש אני כבר
טובע בחומר....חפיפה, היכרויות, התקלויות בדברים חדשים- מה לא... אז באמת אני זקוק
לעזרתכם!

חושפים בצריח- מתהליך הבחירות אני מנסה להפיק את המכסימום ומבקש את עזרתכם בכל
תחום. כרגע אני שוקד על דרכים לחשוף את עבודת המועצה בפני הציבור- גיליתי שרוב
רובו של הציבור לא מודע לחלוקת המטלות שבין מועצה-ממשלה-יישוב. רוב הציבור לא מודע
לכמות העשייה מחד ולגודל הקשיים מאידך. אשמח לרעיונותיכם!

יום הבוחר - ביום ג' שוב בחירות- הפעם אנו מצביעים על עתידנו הלאומי. הכנסת
והממשלה מוציאים אותנו למלחמה וחותמים בשמנו על הסכמים. הם מחליטים כמה נשלם ועבור
מה והם יכולים לקבוע לאן יתפתח החינוך או האם נהיה מדינת חוק. בידיהם כוח שאנו
מעניקים להם וחשוב שנדע למי אנחנו נותנים לנהל לנו את החיים!!! אני קורא ומתחנן
מכל אחד ואחת – לכו להצביע והביאו את כל מי שאתם יכולים! הפעם אלו בחירות קריטיות!
אם ציפי ליבני תהיה בשלטון היא כבר הצהירה על כוונותיה לגבי יו"ש- פינוי והסכם. אם
ברק יהיה בשלטון הוא כבר אמר שהוא מאמץ את היוזמה הסעודית (קו ירוק מינימלי)
ומתכוון לחפור תעלה בין יו"ש לעזה כך שהטרור יהיה אוניברסלי...

כל מי שרוצה ויכול מוזמן לסייע לנו להמריץ בוחרים לבוא ולהצביע לימין! הוקם מוקד
במועצה שיסייע למי שצריך.

אולפנה חדשה – ביום רביעי הקרוב (יז' שבט 11 לפב' ) יהיה בע"ה ערב הסברים על הקמת
אולפנה קהילתית אזורית חדשה. עם הקמתה כל תלמידות גוש עציון ימצאו מקומן בגוש
עציון! לא עוד תשובות שליליות מרגיזות, לא עוד התלבטויות, לא עוד נסיעות ארוכות-
יש כאן הכל! האולפנה תכיל מגוון מגמות ומסלולים ותשלב פדגוגיה עם חברתיות. בואו
ותתרשמו!

הצדעה לשבי רחל – אני חוזר עכשיו (יום ה') מערב אומנויות מרתק שהפיקו תלמידות
האולפנה. בתפריט יצירות אומנות שמבטאות רבדים נשמתיים עמוקים והסתכלות חודרת,
סרטונים משעשעים כפרומו לסרט המסיים והצגה על משמעות החיים ומה באמת אנו לוקחים
בתרמילנו לדרך הארוכה- מנות מצוינות שצריכות להיות מוגשות בכל הארץ! – יפה מאד!

מליאה – שבוע אחרי הבחירות התכנסה המליאה החדשה. התחלנו ברגל ימין ויש הרגשה שיש
בה רעננות ושאיפה לתנופה. הודינו לחברים הוותיקים שעזבו אותנו אחרי שתרמו לציבור
ימים ושעות בשנים האחרונות. לשלושה הענקנו את מדליית גוש עציון על יותר מ-10 שנות
חברות במליאה: יוסי לזר מכרמי צור, דני שחור מאלון שבות וליהודה מלק ממגדל עוז.
בטוחים לראותכם ממשיכים בעשייה!

צועדים בשביל הישראליות – הסתיימה עוד צעדה מדהימה בעקבות הל"ה, השנה הגיעו למעלה
מ-5000 צועדים שהיו איתנו מחצות ועד זריחה – כ-14 ק"מ. תלמידים מכל בתי הספר בארץ
(80% לא מהחינוך הדתי!), חיילים ועוד אנשים. בכתבה ששודרה בנושא במוצאי שבת בגלי
צה"ל, הביאו הקלטות של צועדים, שאמרו בין השאר: "באתי כדי ללכת אחרי אלה שהלכו
בשבילנו, בשביל שתהיה לנו מדינה".

לי היתה חוויה ללכת עם זקן הצועדים (62) –אחיו של יונתן צברי שנהרג בשיירה וצעירת
הצועדות (10) - ביתי. חוויה מיוחדת! תודה לכל המארגנים ממשרדי החינוך והביטחון,
אנשי המועצה, החל"פ, המתנ"ס, הקרן, אנשי הביטחון מצה"ל, משטרה ומג"ב ובראש- אוריה
דסברג!

מיגונים – אחרי כמה שיחות קשות שלי עם אנשי האוצר ומשרד הביטחון אושרו חצי מיליון
₪ למיגון שמשות נגד אבנים. זהו רק 20% מהסכום הנדרש אבל זה יספיק לשבועות
הקרובים-רוצו למגן!

רמזורים 2 – לאחר מו"מ ארוך עם מע"צ והבטחות שר התחבורה סוף סוף קיבלנו היום את
תכניות הרמזורים בצומת אל-ח'אדר. הכניסות לצומת יהיו דו נתיביות כך שעומס התנועה
ישתחרר בזריזות. ליד הכניסה לחוסאן מתוכנן מעגל תנועה לטובת החפצים לבוא מירושלים
ולפנות לכיוון בית ג'אלה או הכניסה הישנה להר גילה. ביננו לבין הביצוע מפרידים 7
מיליון ₪...

אלוף משלנו! – הרבה כבוד הביא לנו הלל אדמוני מגוש עציון כשזכה באליפות ישראל
בטקוואנדו! תמשיך להרביץ לאנשים הנכונים...

Dear Friends,

Time flies - it has been two weeks since the recent elections. As the new
Regional Council head, I am already overloaded with numerous matters - new
concerns, meetings, unfinished projects and new projects.

In the period before the elections, I made an effort to listen and learn how to
facilitate and improve the cooperation between the Regional Council and its
residents. I am now turning to you for assistance.

I am currently considering ways to explain to the residents how the Regional
Council operates. The Regional Council, government and the community share in
the responsibility of running the Regional Council. However, I have discovered
that many of our residents are not aware of the division of responsibility.
Most of the residents do not completely understand the quantity and variety of
activities for which we are responsible and the difficulties in achieving them.

Election Day - this coming Tuesday national elections will once again take
place. In these elections we are voting for the future of our country. The
government signs agreements on our behalf and sends us to war. It decides how
much tax we will pay, what kind of education our children will receive and to
what degree our citizens will be law abiding. Through our vote we, the
citizens of Israel, are the ones who give the government the power to determine
the course our country takes. Our future and the future of our children are in
their hands. It is of utmost importance that we know to whom we are giving our
vote.

THIS TUESDAY IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU VOTE!

Please tell everyone you can! This time, it is vital

Tzipi Livni has already declared her intentions for Yesha if she is elected -
agreements and evacuation.

Barak has already declared his intention to adopt the Saudi initiative
(minimal green line) which means digging a tunnel between Yesha and Gaza
thereby making terrorism universal.

On Election Day, a center will be set up in the Regional Council to get people
to the polls and to make sure they cast their vote for the right-wing parties.
Each of you can make the difference by assisting us on Election Day to get the
people out to vote.

New 'Ulpana" - high school for girls

This Wednesday, February 11, 17 Shvat, there will be an evening explaining
plans for the new regional high school for girls in Gush Etzion. This school
will solve the problems girls in our communities face. The frustrating process
of being accepted/rejected to a high school is over. Transportation to school
will no longer be a problem. There will be a place for every girl in this
school which will offer a variety of new and attractive trends from which to
choose.

Salute to Shavei Rachel

Thursday evening I attended a fantastic evening produced by the Shavei
Rachel Girls High School in Neve Daniel - a special school where pupils major
in the arts. It was a unique evening of entertainment in which the girls
exhibited their artwork, presented short films that they created and performed
in a play about the meaning of life. The evening undoubtedly reflected the
girls’ talents.

The General Assembly of the Regional Council

The members of the Regional Council’s new assembly met for the first time. The
atmosphere was one of future productivity and development for our area. The
outgoing representatives of the former assembly were thanked for their
dedicated work in the past and the new members were welcomed.

Three members, Yossi Lazar (Carmei Tzur), Danny Shachor (Alon Shvut), and
Yehuda Malek (Migdal Oz), received gifts for having participated in the
assembly for 10 consecutive years.

Marches

Another successful and amazing March in the Footsteps of the Lamed Hey took
place. This year there were more than 5000 people who participated in the 14
kilometer march which lasted from sunset to dawn.

Participants included students, 80% of whom were from secular schools from
schools from all over the country, soldiers and others. I enjoyed the
experience of walking with the oldest participant, aged 62, the brother of
Jonathan Tzabarri, who was killed in the convoy and the youngest participant,
my daughter aged 10. A special thanks to all the organizers as well as the
Ministry of Education, Regional Council members, the JCC (Matnas), the Gush
Etzion Development Company, the Gush Etzion Foundation, the Federation of Metro
West, NJ, the IDF, security personnel, Border Police and especially to Oriah
Dassberg!

CAR PROTECTION -After serious exchanges with the representatives from the
Finance and the Defense Ministries, a half-million shekels have been allocated
for protecting residents’ cars against rocks. It is only 20% of the amount
required, but it will be enough for the next few weeks. The protection is now
available for those who are interested.

Traffic lights - After ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Transport and
the Road Authority (Maatz) I finally received the plans of the El Hader
junction .The entrance to the junction will be through two lanes hopefully
making traffic less congested and jammed. A traffic circle is planned at the
entrance to Husan for the benefit of those coming from Jerusalem with a turn
towards Beit Jala and Har Gilo. Seven million NIS are necessary to execute
the plans.

Toquando Champion from Gush Etzion – Our Hillel Admoni, a Gush resident, is
the Israel champion .Keep up the good work! We are proud of you!
