Thank you for your inputs. My plan was to put the comment within a press release that discussed the safety of the vaccine as there is a lot of fantasy and rumors surrounding its safety (they are trying to poison us…. Etc.) How does everyone feel about just saying, ““A group of local Doctors, Nurses and other medical professionals working together as a Medical Advisory Group to the Klamath County Health Department encourage those at risk to seek vaccination.” Monte B Keady Division Chief - Training/EMS Klamath County Fire District No. 1 143 N Broad Street, Klamath Falls OR 97601 541.885.2059 ext.109 From: kcimt_mag-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:kcimt_mag-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of wendywarren@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, November 20, 2009 4:57 PM To: kcimt_mag@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; kcimt_mag@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [kcimt_mag] Re: Endorsement I do not think it would be wise to issue such a statement. Although there are no adverse reactions that does not mean that there will not be any. People should have informed consent before being given the vaccine, but I do not feel that I can endorse safety. I can support that those at risk should be encouraged to receive the vaccine.
