I use a rubric for all 6-traits of writing when I grade student work.
I give them the rubric and tell them that is how it will be graded.
They have always come up to my expectations.

I've never taken points off for this kind of things as I was grading "chemistry" not spelling or grammar...but this is getting bad! What do you guys do?
