[KACT] Directions to Halstead High School

From the east (Newton)
- Take highway 50 heading west from Newton about 8 miles.
- Turn left (south) at the cemetery (you will pass a cemetery about 2
miles outside of Newton, keep going, it is the cemetery with all the large
trees, 8 miles out, you are looking for)
- Take the road into town – keep going through town until you get to
the 4 way stop (6th street).
- Turn right (west) at the 4 way stop.
- Head west until you get to the High School (the first school you
will see is the middle school – keep going to the high school)
From the west (Hutch)
- Take highway 50 heading east from Hutch 20 miles or so.
- Turn right (south) at the cemetery.
- Take the road into town – keep going through town until you get to
the 4 way stop (6th street).
- Turn right (west) at the 4 way stop.
- Head west until you get to the High School (the first school you
will see is the middle school – keep going to the high school)
From the Topeka or KC:
- Take the turnpike to Emporia.
- At Emporia get off the turnpike and take highway 50 to Newton.
- Highway 50 jogs through Interstate-135 at Newton, but it is well
marked.
- Just keep following the highway 50 west signs toward Hutch (and
following directions "From the East" above).
