Controlling Obesity in Children & Adolescents
In response to a Food & Drug Administration (FDA) report on
obesity, Secretary Paige noted that 15 percent of U.S.
children & adolescents are overweight. He said that "Children
should be encouraged be physically active for at least 60
minutes a day," & he called on parents to be role models by
being physically active themselves.
