Now that nearly all the winter vagrant hummers have left the Carolinas
for their breeding grounds, it's time for the annual arrival of our more
familiar summer residents--those Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.
Hummingbird migration and when to put up feeders are the topics of the
8-14 March 2004 installment of "This Week at Hilton Pond." You can find
the current photo essay at
<http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek040308.html>
As always we include a list of all birds banded during the week at
Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, plus an account of an
interesting assortment of recaptures.
Please forward this message to friends who appreciate birds and
nature, and tell them they can get a free reminder for "This Week
