The U.S. Department of Education announced Monday that teachers in rural areas
who teach multiple subjects will be given more time to meet the No Child Left
Behind requirements for highly qualified teachers in all the subjects they

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the Alaska Board of Education by
disabled children and their parents, who claim requiring students to pass an
exit exam to earn a high school diploma discriminates against students with
disabilities.

More students have hand-held PCs in Michigan's Macomb Intermediate School
