THEME OF THE WEEK: Geography
************************************************************
** ACTIVITY OF THE WEEK **
Research & compare different Caribbean countries
Today most people think of sandy beaches when they think of the Caribbean and
Mexico. These tropical vacation spots offer much more if we look beneath the
surface.
Divide students into small groups to research and study the culture, geography,
history, government, economy, and language(s) for the Caribbean nations of
Cuba, Jamaica, and Guadeloupe, as well as Mexico. Present and display the
researched information in a composite chart form, revealing similarities and
differences among the countries.
