Emerald Sky Technologies is currently funded by NASA to develop an
innovative primary flight display ("glass cockpit") technology for
general aviation. We are recruiting test subjects to fly the new
display in Microsoft Flight Simulator and to compare it to existing
glass cockpit display systems. The qualifications for a test
subject are at least a private pilot's license and a relatively
recent instrument rating (i.e., no more than 50 hours of instrument
flight beyond the rating). Testing can occur at many of the
airports in Central Maryland and, if this is inconvenient, we can
discuss coming to your airport for testing. The test takes five to
six hours and we pay subjects a $100 honorarium for participating.
In addition to this modest sum, you can also take part in designing
and developing what may be a truly innovative product for GA.
