While I am still looking for a sponsor for the "monthly fees" of the wireless
Internet (about $900.00-$1000.00) until the town can add it to their budget
in July 2003, I would also like to know who would use the service. That is
the reason for this survey.
The town IT department has already said they can purchase the equipment.
If you think you would use the FREE high speed wireless Internet service I
propose for the airport lobby terminal, please tell me what you might use it
for (checking/sending e-mail, looking up TFR's, looking up NOTAMS, using
DUETS, checking weather forecasts, looking at Live Radar, Flight Pre
Planning, Filing Flight Plans, working remotely from your office, just
browsing the net, etc.) and how often.
Also, do you already have 802.11b wireless equipment for your PDA or portable
computer. If not, would you buy your own wireless card (about $75.00) or
want to borrow one while at the airport?
Please reply to this e-mail with your survey answers.
Thanks,
Ed Levine
