[JYO] Tom Armour flys West.. Good Bye Tom! :-(

For those of you that know Tom Armour (N738KR at JYO), it is with 
deep  sadness that I relay the news that he passed away yesterday. 
Tom was  diagnosed with a malignant tumor last fall. Despite 
surgery, his condition  worsened rapidly. 

Tom was an active poster here and on the "other" DC  Pilots list. He 
made his C-172 and himself available to other pilots in the  area who 
needed safety pilots or lifts to nearby airports. I can take credit  
for convincing him to take flying lessons in the '90s and get his  PP-
ASEL. But he didn't need me to keep him interested..ASEL. But he did 
of flying and built up alot more hours than I have! In transition 
to  retirement, Tom and his wife sold their house in the DC area last 
year and  moved (along with 738KR) to the Williamsburg area. Once 
the seriousness of  his illness became apparent, Tom sold his plane 
to someone near  Williamsburg.

Funeral arrangements are still pending but if anyone is  interested
