[JYO] Special ATC Session for Leesburg Pilots & Carrie Moats passes checkride!

Hello -

First, I am happy to say that Carrie Moats passed her checkride at 4:30 PM 
yesterday.  Many of you know Carrie as she worked both behind the desk at 
Piedmont as well as on the line for a year and a half. She also helped put on 
the Leesburg Pilots Association Airshow last year and both picnics.  This has 
been a 6 year trek for her...  Congrats again Carrie! (carrieflys@xxxxxxx)


Some of the folks that I have been working with at Dulles ATC have offered to 
hold a "Leesburg Pilots Only" session to discuss procedures, recommendations 
and operations into their airspace from JYO. Anyone can attend to learn, but 
it is being billed as "Leesburg Pilots Only" so that questions are not 
fielded for Manassas, or Gaithersburg, etc. I spoke to Karen Arendt from the 
Dulles FSDO to invite her to participate as well and maybe make it part of 
the WINGS program. The date will be posted as soon as it is selected and 
should be midweek in mid August.  I am not sure if we will hold this meeting 
at the airport terminal or the Leesburg Armory.  If this session seems like 
something that you will attend, please shoot me an e-mail
